Chelsea to be allowed to sell some tickets

The UK Government has reconsidered its stance on it no sales of tickets by Chelsea as the Blues are now allowed to sell some tickets.

This latest update means that Real Madrid fans can attend the Champions League quarter-final at Stamford Bridge.

Recall that the Blues were banned from selling tickets after Roman Abramovich was sanctioned in February.

The Blues are also now allowed to receive a £30m payment from its parent company, Fordstam, to provide cash to meet costs.

Chelsea have been granted a license to continue operating as a football club, but with strict limitations on its commercial ventures.

The latest update says Chelsea can now sell tickets.

In the case of their match against Real Madrid, proceeds from tickets sold by the Blues will go to UEFA.

In the Premier League, the Blues are still not allowed to sell tickets, but away fans can buy tickets to watch matches at Stamford Bridge.

Hopefully, all these will be resolved when Chelsea get new owners.
