Arsenal
Chelsea target battling muscle fatigue
Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen has returned to Napoli amid report linking with a transfer from the Italian side this summer transfer window.
Ahead of a possible deal with a new club like Chelsea and Arsenal, Osimhen has resumed training at Napoli.
However, recent reports disclosed the striker trained separately from the rest of his Napoli teammates for the second day in a row on Monday.
The reports added that Osimhen is currently battling with muscle fatigue which is why he couldn’t join the rest of the squad in training.
Multiple sources from Italian outfits also alleged that the Nigerian star didn’t join his teammates on the pitch but worked separately in the gym instead.
Recall that the Nigerian star returned for pre-season training with Napoli last week.
He is, however, expected to leave the Partenopei this summer but no interested club, has yet paid his release clause or sent offers.
Osimhen’s release clause increased last year after he signed a new contract with Napoli last December. His released clause is said to be €130m, an amount many clubs wouldn’t be able to afford.
Meanwhile, aside from Chelsea and Arsenal, French side PSG are interested in Osimhen who they see as a replacement for Mbappe but he doesn’t favour a return to the Ligue 1.
