Chelsea take decision on sacking Potter after defeat to Southampton

Chelsea on Saturday hosted Southampton at Stamford Bridge which ended in a 1-0 defeat.

Despite the defeat, Chelsea are not considering sacking their manager Graham Potter.

Southampton star James Ward-Prowse gave the visiting side a first-half free-kick goal to be the winner at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea squad were booed off the pitch at the break and at full time.

Following the end of the match, Chelsea fans took to different platforms to make more calls for Potter to be sacked by the club supporters.

Meanwhile, a report via the UK Telegraph revealed there is no change in the Chelsea board’s position on Potter.

The former Brighton manager still has the backing of co-owner Todd Boehly.

Following the defeat to Southampton, Chelsea are still 10th on the log with 31 points.

Their chances of making it back to the top four is getting slimmer by the day.
