Chelsea suffer transfer blow as target makes U-turn

Chelsea have suffered a transfer blow in the ongoing January transfer window as their target Ousmane Dembele has made a U-turn on his decision to leave Barcelona.

Dembele had earlier been tipped to leave Barcelona appeared after his agent started a war of words with the club over their negotiating stance, according to Sport.es.

A new report has, however, speculated that Dembele may have had a change of decision as the latest talks with the Catalans board have seen him insist on his commitment to the club.

If this latest report is anything to buy, Chelsea and other European clubs who had initially showed interest in Dembele may have to look elsewhere.

With less than a week to the end of the January transfer window, Chelsea main focus seems to be about signing a left-back defender who could come in as a backup for Ben Chilwell, who has been out of the Blues squad owing to injury.

Chilwell is not expected in the Blues squad until the end of the season.
