Chelsea suffer huge blow in the pursuit of youngster who’s set to renew deal with present club
Chelsea’s pursuit of Borussia Dortmund youngster Jude Bellingham has reportedly hit the rock as he prepares to be tied down by Borussia Dortmund until 2025.
Borussia Dortmund, in the past few seasons, has become popular for letting their youngster leave at a high price, and this summer transfer window has seen the club forced to make another huge decision.
Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham have been linked with a move away from the club, with Chelsea one of the top teams willing to add them to their squad.
The blues are willing to add more quality to their frontline as they aim to retain the UEFA Champions League title and compete with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City in the league.
However, Bellingham will not be playing for the blues next season as Dortmund will offer the teenager a shiny new four-year deal on his birthday tomorrow, according to the Sun.
Borussia Dortmund have identified Bellingham as an essential player in their squad and are not willing to let him go.
Bellingham, who is just 17-year-old played 46 times for Dortmund last season and helped them win the DFB-Pokal.
Liverpool are also said to be monitoring his situation at Dortmund, but none of the Premier League team will be signing Bellingham this summer.
