Chelsea shot-stopper will miss two weeks after suffering thigh injury on international duty
Chelsea purportedly face being without new goalkeeper Edouard Mendy for about fourteen days after he suffered a thigh injury on international duty.
Edouard Mendy just arrived at Stamford Bridge in a £22m move two weeks ago, assisting with settling Frank Lampard’s headache of finding a replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The 28-year-old has just made two appearances for the Blues, keeping a clean sheet on his Premier League debut in the last weekend’s 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.
However, the talented goalkeeper injured his thigh while away with Senegal this week and has since returned to London to go through treatment.
As per the Daily Mail, the Blues hope to be without Edouard Mendy for a limit of a fortnight, in spite of the fact that that will just probably rule him out of one game – the following week’s league visit of Southampton.
