Chelsea set to sign Borussia Dortmund winger

Chelsea are apparently set to make a £80m bid to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho ahead of this current summer’s transfer window.

The England International is anticipating to return to England and play in the Premier League next season, with the Blues set to battle long term admirers Manchester United for his signature.

The 21-year-old came close to joining the Manchester United a year ago however Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were reluctant to match the £108m asking price.

Borussia Dortmund have since dropped their valuation of the Englishman to around £80m, however they are trusting that a great spell at Euro 2020 can boost the winger’s transfer fee up to the £100m mark.

As indicated by The Sun, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is a major admirer of Jadon Sancho and has mentioned to the club’s hierarchy that they lodge a bid to sign him this summer.

The ex-Manchester City academy graduate is accepted to have been a boyhood Blues fans growing up and would consider a move to Stamford Bridge if an offer were to be made.

Sancho has made many appearances in all competitions for Dortmund so far this season, scoring 16 objectives and 21 assists.
