Chelsea reportedly ready to sell Barkley, set transfer fee
A recent report has claimed that UCL champions Chelsea are ready to sell their midfielder and England international Ross Barkley in the coming winter transfer window in January.
The report revealed that Chelsea have fixed Barkley’s transfer fee at £14 million and would let him leave for any interested club.
So far this season, Barkley has made eight appearances for the Blues and has featured in three of his side’s last four Premier League matches.
The English midfielder is down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, though, and he has been linked with a move away ahead of the winter window, with the midfielder’s contract due to expire in June 2023.
According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Chelsea are prepared to sell the Englishman in January provided that they receive an offer of £14m.
Konur claimed that Newcastle United, Leeds United and Burnley are all interested in signing the former Everton youngster during the winter market.
Barkley spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, and has scored 11 goals and created 11 assists in 94 appearances for Chelsea since joining them from Everton in 2018.
