Chelsea reportedly ready to hand this German defender a new deal
A new report has claimed that Chelsea are planning to hand a new deal to Germany international Antonio Rudiger in a matter of time.
This comes as Rudiger’s current contract with the Blues expires at the end of this season.
Chelsea had earlier tabled new contracts before him, which he rejected as they didn’t match his demands.
The German defender is now in the final six months of his existing deal, which means he can hold discussions with foreign clubs.
Despite interests from the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, the reports revealed that Germany international is in no rush to make a final decision over his future.
This had given hope to Chelsea that they could still strike a new deal with him.
And the latest report via The Mirror has revealed that the Blues hierarchy are ready to improve their offer for the centre-back.
Previous reports have indicated that the West London club were far away from Rudiger’s demands, but it is now claimed that they are ready to make some headway in negotiations.
