Chelsea reportedly fixed Cole Palmer’s asking price after rejecting Man City’s £145m offer

Chelsea star Cole Palmer’s name has popped up this summer transfer window with a previous report linked him to return to Man City.
The report claimed Man City led by Pep Gaurdiola tabled a British-record £149m (€170m) offer star playmaker, which has now been rejected by the Blues, according to a report.
Palmer a product of the Citizens’ academy was on the books at the Etihad Stadium for 13 years before completing a £45m transfer to Chelsea in the summer of 2023.
The England international who left Man City over lack of game time went on to become Chelsea key player.
His performance at the FIFA club world cup further made him gained attention from his former club, who are now interested in signing him.
Recent report claimed that Guardiola is determined to re-sign Palmer ‘at all costs’.
According to report Chelsea directors have made it clear that they would only be willing to consider negotiations for Palmer if they receive a world-record bid of £250m.
Meanwhile, the most expensive transfer is at €222m (£200m) that PSG spent to make Brazilian star Neymar leave Barcelona in the summer of 2017 to join them.
It is unlikely that Man City will be willing to meet Chelsea’s demand for Palmer.
