Chelsea reacts to report linking them with moves to sign Neymar

Chelsea have dismissed the reports linking them with the moves to sign Paris Saint Germain PSG star Neymar Jr this summer transfer window.

Although the Brazil star is keen to leave PSG before the summer transfer window closes, he has been linked with Chelsea, Barcelona and Manchester City.

The reports which emerged on Monday claimed that Chelsea have remained in contact with Neymar’s representatives.

However, a recent report via The Guardian has now revealed that Chelsea insiders have dismissed suggestions that the Blues will make an attempt to sign Neymar this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain are demanding at least £60million from any club that have an interest in signing Neymar.

Neymar’s link to Chelsea was also fuelled by his positive relationship with Chelsea’s new manager Mauricio Pochettino, who coached the Brazilian during his time at PSG in the past.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are still in the race for a new midfielder after they saw the departure of many of their midfield players this summer.
