Chelsea react to Madueke’s permanent transfer to Arsenal

Chelsea have confirmed Noni Madueke’s permanent transfer to Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
This comes as Arsenal unveiled Madueke as their newest player on Friday.
Reacting to the Englishman’s exit, Chelsea in a statement via their official website expressed gratitude to Madueke and wishes him well at his new club.
“We would like to thank Noni for his efforts throughout his time at Chelsea and wish him well as he begins a new chapter in his career,” the statement read.
Recall that the Blues signed Madueke in January 2023 from PSV Eindhoven and he played in 12 matches during the remainder of that season.
In his first full season at Stamford Bridge, Madueke made 34 appearances across all competitions, finishing the campaign with eight goals.
He progressed further in 2024/25, scoring eleven goals as the Blues secured a return to the Champions League and lifted the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Meanwhile, the Gunners will pay Chelsea up to £52m for the winger, who penned a five-year deal.
Madueke is Arsenal’s fourth signing of the summer after Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard.
His move to Arsenal makes him the seventh player to make a switch from Stamford Bridge to Emirate Stadium in the last six years, after Kepa, Raheem Sterling, Kai Havertz, Jorginho, Willian and David Luiz.
