Chelsea players to reconvene at Cobham on Tuesday
There is a latest update about Chelsea players who are not on international duty in the ongoing World Cup and who are not injured reconvening at Cobham tomorrow, Tuesday for the start of midseason pre-season.
The Blues will begin preparations for the resumption of the season in about four weeks’ time.
According to the report, the available senior players would likely be joined by a few youths as well, with Chelsea set to depart for their warm-weather training camp in Abu Dhabi at the end of the week.
The Evening Standard reported that Chelsea are looking to add a behind-closed-doors friendly to the program as well, alongside the scheduled friendly match vs Aston Villa on December 11.
With the World Cup group stage set to conclude this week, affected players will likely join up with the team as well, after a short break.
Once the world cup is over, Chelsea will return to action on Tuesday, December 27, when they host AFC Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge.
The Standard’s report added that Reece James and Wesley Fofana are “stepping up” their rehab and “hope to be fit” for that game.
