Chelsea open talks for Lyon star

Chelsea are keen on making some new additions to their squad this summer after they witness a mass exit from the club.

With the likes of Mason Mount, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Kovacic out of Chelsea, the Blues are keen on signing a new midfielder.

This has since linked them with moves for Lyon’s Rayan Cherki, who have caught their attention.

The Blues would, however, face stiff competition as the French star has also been linked with Spanish side Real Madrid.

However, Chelsea seems to have moved ahead in the race to sign him as a report via 90min revealed they have reached out to Lyon to discuss a potential summer deal for Cherki.

Chelsea are said to be starting with a €40 million bid.

Meanwhile, Cherki who is 19 years of age has been impressive for Lyon having established himself as a regular starter at the Ligue 1 club.

He has been tipped to be tuccessful if he maintain his form.
