Chelsea move to sign replacement as Kepa agrees deal with Real Madrid

With Chelsea’s goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga set to be the latest player to leave the club this summer transfer window, they are said to be considering a move for former Premier League goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel as his replacement.
This comes as Kepa agreed a season-long loan deal with Real Madrid and is set to depart Chelsea this summer after Edouard Mendy already left Stamford Bridge.
The Spanish club need a new goalkeeper as Thibault Courtois has suffered a serious knee injury and they want to bring in Kepa from Chelsea on a short-term deal.
Chelsea’s new goalie Robert Sanchez, who they signed from Brighton for £25million will likely go straight into the starting line-up when they take on Liverpool in their Premier League opener on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues will need to sign a new keeper in the squad and according to The Guardian, the west London side have turned their attention to Schmeichel, who currently plays for Nice.
