Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic is now the latest player to leave Stamford Bridge as he recently completed a transfer to European champions Man City.
This comes as both Chelsea and Man City on Tuesday evening confirmed Kovacic’s transfer.
Chelsea will get a £25 million fixed fee plus £5 million in add-ons.
Kovacic, who signed a four-year deal with Man City a statement revealed why he decided to make the switch as he described Man City as a perfect club, where he would be able to win a lot
“I enjoyed nice years but now it’s time to turn a new page and win. Man City is the perfect club where you can win a lot, and I’ll do my best to try to win every year. Collecting trophies is the most important thing,” Kovacic said during his unveiling.
Kovacic’s transfer to Man City means he could get a chance to play in the Champions League next season, unlike Chelsea who finished in the 12th spot last season.
