Chelsea midfielder linked to Juventus

Chelsea midfielder and Italian international Jorginho has been linked with transfer moves to Seria A club Juventus.

This was confirmed by Jorginho’s agent, who made this public.

The Italian midfielder has been a key player at Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel, making 24 appearances for the Blues in the EPL this season and 12 other appearances in other tournaments.

So far, he has nine goals to his name in all competitions and plays the lead penalty taker for the club.

However, with his contract at Stamford Bridge det to expire in 2023, his future with the Blues has been called to question, as his status in the squad is unknown.

Jorginho joined Chelsea from Napoli, arriving at Stamford Bridge alongside former manager Maurizio Sarri.

“The market is blocked for Chelsea, if the situation gets resolved, the priority will be to extend the contract with Chelsea”, Joao Santos told Calciomercatoit.

“I have not talked to Juventus, but I know of their interest.”

Jorginho is expected to return to action when the Blues take on Middlesbrough on Saturday in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
