Chelsea, Man Utd told the huge price they have to pay for Haaland
The latest reports have revealed that football clubs which include EPL sides Chelsea and Manchester United, have been handed the astronomical price that they have to pay next summer to sign Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.
Recall that Haaland, 21, was targeted by the Chelsea and Man Utd in the last summer transfer window, but Dortmund’s reluctance to let him go in the same summer as Jadon Sancho thwarted the decision to sign him.
The latest report has disclosed that any club that intends to sign Haaland will have to be ready to pay around £254 million.
“Haaland has a release clause. The entire package with five-year salary and commission for the agent will probably be on the border of €250million to €300million [£254million],” Volker Struth revealed.
“Even if Bayern Munich had the money, they would not do it. All hell would break out if a player in Germany [was paid] €50million.”
Chelsea, for one, have been linked with a move to sign a new striker in the next transfer window, but it is uncertain the Blues will be willing to part with that huge sum to sign one player.
