Chelsea linked with moves for former winger

Chelsea have been linked with moves to sign their former winger Willian for their new manager Mauricio Pochettino this summer.

Recall that the Brazil star made an unexpected return to the Premier League last year when he penned a one-year contract with Fulham.

Willian pulled up an impressive performance for Fulham as he emerged as one of their standout players in the Premier League last season.

The Brazilian winger registered five goals and created five assists in 27 appearances for Fulham.

He is out of contract this summer and a report via ESPN Brasil revealed Chelsea and Manchester United have initiated talks about signing him ahead of the new 2023/24 season.

Further reports revealed that negotiations were not advanced with Chelsea and Man United as both clubs consider Willian as a backup in their summer transfer plans.

William, has, however, since signed a new deal with Fulham to remain at Craven Cottage instead.
