Chelsea legend affirms Romelu Lukaku return to Stamford Bridge
Didier Drogba has stoked the fire encompassing Romelu Lukaku’s proposed return to Chelsea with a post on social media.
With Premier League giants understood to have accepted a £97.5m fee for their ex-player, Lukaku is purportedly set to under go his Chelsea medical this end of the week.
The 28-year-old spent three years in the English capital prior to leaving without a goal in 15 appearances, but his ex-teammate Drogba has apparently affirmed that the Belgium international will return to Stamford Bridge.
Didier Drogba published a photoshopped picture of Lukaku in a Chelsea kit on Twitter with the caption “He’s returning home @RomeluLukaku9 @ChelseaFC” trailed by a line of blue hearts on Sunday morning.

Underneath the underlying tweet, the 43-year-old added a green tick emoticon amid reports guaranteeing that Lukaku will sign a five-year deal worth roughly £11m each year with the Champions League holders.
Romelu Lukaku scored 24 goals from 36 appearances in the league last season as Inter won to the Serie A title, and he leaves the Nerazzurri having scored 64 times in 95 appearances across all competitions.
