Chelsea lead the race for Leeds star if..

Chelsea will be at the front fore of the race for Leeds United star Raphinha if Barcelona are unable to submit a bid for him.

According to the Evening Standard, Raphinha is set to make a decision on his future within the next 24 hours and Chelsea are ‘frontrunners’ to secure a deal if Barcelona does not follow up with an offer.

Raphinha is one of the most wanted players this summer after his two impressive seasons at Leeds United.

While Chelsea have seen their £55 million bid for him accepted,  Raphinha, however, favours a move to Camp Nou and the Brazilian star has been waiting on the Spanish LaLiga club to reach an agreement with Leeds United.

A report a few days ago revealed his agent, Deco, met with the Catalans’ hierarchy on different occasions but they have yet to meet Leeds’ valuation.

The report added that Arsenal ‘have not given up hope’ of signing Raphinha but he has already ruled out a move to the Gunners and Tottenham.

In a matter of days, Chelsea may be able to pull this through.
