Chelsea join other clubs in the race to sign this youngster from Fulham

The recent report has revealed that Chelsea have joined some other top European clubs in the race to sign Fulham’s youngster Fabio Carvalho in the coming January transfer window.

Although Chelsea is already home to high-class young players, the Blues are however determined to sign Carvalho.

Carvalho, 19-year-old, who is a key player in Fulham, is out of contract at the end of the season and increasingly likely to depart Craven Cottage for another club next season.

A report via Eurosport disclosed that Chelsea are one of a number of clubs who are willing to sign the young prospect during one of the following two transfer windows.

Other European clubs that have shown interest include Spanish club Real Madrid as well as Premier League clubs Liverpool and Southampton.

The report added that Carvalho’s friendship with Southampton defender Tino Livramento could play a more significant role in letting him to the club ahead of others.

Fulham, on the other hand, are hoping he stays put as they try to convince him to agree to fresh terms with the club before the start of the January window.
