Chelsea in advance talk to sign RB Leipzig star

With hours away from the end of the summer transfer window, the rush to complete the transfer move is on.

The latest report have linked Chelsea with moves for Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig.

According to the report, the two sides are already in advance talks.

The west London sides will pay up to €90million for the player, but he would not be moving to the EPL immediately as he would remain on loan with the Bundesliga club until June 2023.

This was revealed by transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on Tuesday evening.

Romano tweeted: “Exclusive: Chelsea are in advanced talks with RB Leipzig to sign Joško Gvardiol!

”Deal would be completed now but with Gvardiol staying at RB Leipzig, he’d join Chelsea in June 2023.

“Official proposal submitted today is around €90m. Negotiations ongoing on the club’s side.”

The move for Gvardio comes after Chelsea allowed Timo Werner returned to RB Leipzig this summer as he struggled to impress in the EPL.
