Chelsea goalie says he has never thought of leaving Stamford Bridge
One of the players that fell out of favour under Chelsea former manager, Frank Lampard was expensive goalie, Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Despite the limited chances he had under the former coach, Kepa revealed in a statement that he never thought of leaving Stamford Bridge.
Kepa who Chelsea bought in an expensive deal worth more than €70 million was dropped as the first goalie under Lampard owing to his numerous errors and mistakes that cost Chelsea some points.
The Blues had to make use of Edouard Mendy who they signed last summer.
Kepa I’m his recent statement revealed he’s ready to take up challenging games and ready to work hard under new coach, Thomas Tuchel.
“Three months ago things were difficult. It has been a complicated year for a number of reasons. But I have never thought about leaving Chelsea,” Kepa told Spanish outlet COPE.
Kepa added that he did not have any problem with Lampard as he accepted the fact that he did not give the best version of myself or play as he would have wanted under Lampard.
“I feel good after my period of inactivity. I hope to play more and I am no longer afraid and want to play an important part for Chelsea,” he added.
