Chelsea Given Green Light to Re-Sign Marc Guehi as Crystal Palace Plan Summer Sales

Chelsea have been encouraged to make a move for Marc Guehi, with Crystal Palace open to selling the highly-rated centre-back during the upcoming transfer window.

According to The Sun, the Eagles are willing to part ways with both Guehi and star midfielder Eberechi Eze, as manager Oliver Glasner plans a significant summer rebuild.

Guehi, who left Chelsea for Selhurst Park in 2021, has developed into a key figure at Palace and attracted strong interest from Tottenham and Newcastle.

However, Chelsea are reportedly considering bringing the 23-year-old back to Stamford Bridge, especially as they look to reinforce their defence ahead of the new season. With just one year remaining on his current contract, Palace view this summer as the ideal time to cash in on the England international.

Eze, another standout performer, is also expected to leave, with a £60 million release clause believed to be active. Palace’s aim is to raise approximately £130 million through player sales to fund the arrival of six new signings, focused on adding physicality and depth across the squad.

Guehi’s familiarity with Chelsea’s environment and his Premier League experience make him a strong candidate for a defensive reinforcement.

As the Blues prepare for life under new head coach Enzo Maresca, the opportunity to secure one of England’s most promising defenders may prove too valuable to ignore.
