Chelsea give update on Badiashile’s injury

Chelsea have given an update on their defender and France international Benoit Badiashile’s injury.

It turns out Badiashile will not be playing for the Blues for the remaining games of the season.

The French defender has sustained a hamstring injury which will rule the defender out for an extended period.

A report via the Chelsea website revealed the 22-year-old underwent assessment with specialists earlier this week and will now begin a rehabilitation programme with the club’s medical department.

Badiashile was unavailable during Chelsea’s recent defeat vs EPL champions Man City.

He is also going to miss their next game vs Man Utd which take place on Thursday.

Badiashile’s injury is a blow for the Blues who have endured a tough season that has seen them drop out of the top four on the league table.

He, however, is expected to be back in form ahead of next season when new manager Mauricio Pochettino must have taken over from Frank Lampard.
