Chelsea get transfer boost to sign this Napoli star

Chelsea have been handed a transfer boost to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer window.

This comes as a report via Corriere Dello Sport revealed that Osimhen’s contract renewal talks with the Serie A champions have stalled over a release clause.

The Naples are said to have included a whopping £173 million release clause to the player’s new contract offer in order to keep him down at the club.

However, Osimhen, who wants to stay at the club, wants the release clause to be set at £100 million instead.

This has put the talks for the new contact at a standstill, opening the door for his potential suitors like Chelsea to come in.

It is no news that Chelsea want to sign a new No. 9 this summer and have their eyes on Osimhen.

Man Utd have also been linked with moves to sign the Nigerian star.
