Chelsea find replacement for Kante

Chelsea have reportedly found a replacement for French midfielder N’Golo Kante, who has been linked with moves away from the club.

The Blues are said to see Manchester City midfielder Romeo Lavia as a replacement for Kante.

This comes as Kante’s contract at Stamford Bridge will expire in June and as of now, no agreement has been reached on a possible contract extension.

A report via Football Insider revealed that it is unknown whether or not the French midfielder would want to continue with the West London side who will not be playing in the Champions League next season.

French Ligue 1 club PSG and Spanish giants Barcelona are among the clubs interested in Kante.

Lavia, who is signed to Southampton, has emerged as a player of interest for the West London outfit.

The Blues’ hierarchy are said to see Lavia as Enzo Fernandes’ ideal partner as the 19-year-old midfielder has emerged as one of the most promising midfielders in the Premier League this season.
