Chelsea defender turns down move to Arsenal

With a number of Chelsea key players departing the club this summer, there are speculations, more will be on their way before the transfer window closes.

Chelsea defender, Reece James has also been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, however, in his case he turned down a possible move to join Premier League rivals, Arsenal.

The England right-back blatantly rejected Arsenal after a Gunners fan expressed his desire to see him play at the Emirates Stadium.

The fan with the Twitter handle, @_ambehi while sharing a picture of James, wrote, “Reece James to arsenal who says no.”

Reece James replied via the comment section: “I say no.”

Pleased with his response, Chelsea quoted James’ reply with the caption, “One of our own.”

This is coming after Chelsea forward Kai Havertz completed a transfer to Arsenal this summer where he would reunite with Jorghinho who left Stamford Bridge in January.
