Chelsea defender reportedly agrees personal terms with Real Madrid
Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso has reportedly reached a personal agreement with Spanish side Barcelona ahead of the start of the summer transfer window.
Although Alonso’s contract at Stamford Bridge doesn’t expire until next June, there have however been different claims speculating his departure from Chelsea in recent months.
According to popular Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 31-year-old defender wants to return to his home country this summer, and the defender has already agreed to personal terms with Barcelona.
Romano claimed that the Catalans are attempting to negotiate a transfer fee with Chelsea, but they are not ready to spend a large amount to secure his signature.
We will have to wait till the commencement of the summer window to know if they can transfer will take place.
Alonso has been a key player for the Blues under manager Thomas Tuchel during the 2021-22 campaign, as he made 46 appearances in all competitions, contributing five goals and six assists in the process.
Aside from Alonso, Chelsea will see Andreas Christensen move to Camp Nou this summer, while Antonio Rudiger would be signing for European champions Real Madrid.
