Chelsea defender confirms he has not been at his best

Chelsea defender Koulidou Koulibaly in a recent statement has revealed he has not been at his best for the Blues since joining them from Italian club Napoli.

Koulibaly made this known ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Speaking with the Times, the former Napoli star said, “I know I’m not at 100% yet but I think I’m coming to my level.
“Chelsea made a big decision to sign me [last summer for £33 million] and there is a big desire in me to give back.

“I want to be part of this club for many years. This is not the year Chelsea was expecting, but sometimes when you have big changes, new proprietors, and half the team is new, everybody has to adapt. But we know how big the ambition is here and we are going to work to win back the confidence of the supporters.”

Meanwhile, it is yet to be known if Lampard will unleash Koulibaly at the back against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
