Chelsea decide on their first choice goalkeeper

Chelsea are preparing for a new season, with focus on the EPL title among others trophy as they bolster their squad.
Recent report revealed the Blues led by manager Enzo Maresca are set to name Robert Sanchez as their first choice goalkeeper ahead of next season.
Rudy Galetti claimed Chelsea took decision after Sanchez’s standout Club World Cup performance for the Blues.
The reports disclosed that the Blues now no longer plan to sign a new goalkeeper this summer as they want to continue with Sanchez next season.
Recall that Sanchez faced criticism over his performance for Maresca’s side last season.
However, the 27-year-old goalie was able to get back in the good books after he kept a clean sheet as Chelsea won the FIFA Club World Cup tournament.
Before this, the west London club who are working on bolstering their squad ahead of the new season, were said to be in the market for a new goalkeeper.
Sanchez moved to Stamford Bridge from Brighton in 2023 and had played on loan at Forest Green Rovers and Rochdale in the past.
Hopefully, Chelsea will be able to rely on him in the new season to stop goals as they work towards winning titles.
