Chelsea coach defends misfiring striker
Thomas Tuchel has defended misfiring Chelsea misfiring striker Timo Werner following his performance during the international break.
Timo Werner was among the players selected to represent Germany in their world cup qualifying match and he grabbed the headlines after a huge miss during Germany’s 2-1 defeat to North Macedonia.
However, Tuchel is growing tired of the attention Werner’s miss is getting as he urged him to block out the noise.
Speaking ahead of the Blues Premier League match against West Brom, Tuchel stated that though he’s not joking, it was a bad pass from
Gundogan but of course, Werner misses that chance and everyone is passionate to talk about it, which is annoying.
According to Tuchel, life at the moment is all about talking about Timo Werner, how to play the former RB Leipzig forward and he didn’t start three times for Germany so maybe with more minutes, he would score more,
They noted that it is an easy solution to point the finger at Timo, which he cannot understand.
The former Paris Saint-Germain manager insisted that he is happy that Werner is at Chelsea at the moment because he is protected and the club demands a lot from him and get a lot from him.
Tuchel noted that the best thing is to look at the situation honestly, not focus on the bad things, but look at it honestly adding that Werner is in a moment where he lacks confidence and where things are not too easy.
