Chelsea close to completing moves for third signing

With a few hours left to the start of the January transfer window, Chelsea are said to be closer to wrapping up a deal for Monaco defender, Benoît Badiashile.

The reports revealed the deal has reached the ‘final stages’ and barring any last minute change the Monaco defender will switch to Chelsea.

Badiashile will become Chelsea’s third signing of the January transfer window, according to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.

Fabrizio made this known in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Thursday.

He tweeted: “Chelsea are close to complete their third 2023 signing after Fofana and Andrey Santos: deal at final stages for Benoît Badiashile, all parties feel it will be done soon.

“‘Final bits’ now and then here we go expected. Personal terms in place, Badiashile wants Chelsea.”

So far, Chelsea have confirmed the signing of David Datro Fofana from Molde on Wednesday.

Chelsea are also close to completing a £12million deal to sign Andrey Santos from Vasco da Gama.
