Chelsea coach, Thomas Tuchel led his boys to St. Mary stadium on Saturday to play against Southampton in the premier league.

The game ended with both sides sharing points as the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

Chelsea were able to maintain Tuchel’s unbeaten run thanks to a second-half goal from Mason Mount.

However, in a post-match statement, Chelsea manager has criticised the attitude of England international, Callum Hudson-Odoi after he was substituted during the game.

Recall that Tuchel brought in Odoi in the second half to serve as a replacement for Tammy Abraham who sustained a knee injury.

However,  in the second half, the Blues coach just after 31 minutes of action went on to again substitute Odoi with Hakim Ziyech for the closing stages at St Mary’s Stadium, thus leaving many confused as to whether Odoi sustained an injury.

Tuchel in his statement dismissed reports that Odoi was replaced as a result of injury.

The stressed that he attaches no deep meaning to substituting a substitute and was adamant the issue would be “forgotten” by Sunday.

“But now it’s forgotten and he has step up, learn from it, swallow it, and there’s no problem.

Chelsea will.hope to improve in their next game.
