Carabao Cup: Potter calls up two Academy player ahead of match vs Man City
Ahead of Chelsea’s game vs Man City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening, the club’s manager, Graham Potter confirmed he has called up Omari Hutchinson and Lewis Hall to his squad.
Chelsea head into the last two games before the start of the 2022 world cup in Qatar after their 1-0 defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League.
While Hutchinson is yet to make any appearance for the senior team since his return from Arsenal’s academy in the summer, Hall, on the other hand, made his first-team debut in the FA Cup in January.
Potter will make some changes to his squad for their trip to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.
When asked if Hutchinson is in contention to feature, the Chelsea manager said on Tuesday: “He’s in the squad
“Lewis Hall’s in the squad, they’ve impressed.
“They’ve been training with us for a while now and they’ve got some good qualities as young players that we just need to nurture and take the right steps with. But they’ll be in the squad and involved.”
