Campbell says only one Chelsea player exceptional ahead of game vs Arsenal
Former Arsenal star Kevin Campbell has said no Chelsea player would stand a chance to make it to the Gunners squad based on their current form.
Campbell made this claim ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League derby with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
He, however, stressed that only the Blues goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has been exceptional.
While Chelsea are currently seat in the sixth position on the Premier League table, Arsenal are the current table toppers.
“None at the moment,” Campbell told talkSPORT when asked how many Chelsea players would get into Arsenal’s team.
“I have got to say that. It’s harsh, but the only one who you can say has played up to standard, up to scratch or maybe above is Kepa [Arrizabalaga].
“Kepa has been outstanding, but I think when you look at what Arsenal have done this season, the numbers are where they are in the table, I don’t think any Chelsea player gets into that [team].
“I am not saying Chelsea players are not top, when they are on fire, probably more Chelsea players would get into this squad than Arsenal players, but they have just not been performing.”
