Brighton star set for Chelsea’s medical

Chelsea are close to landing a deal for a new player before this summer window closes.

The latest report via The Athletic revealed Chelsea have now reached an agreement to sign Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.

The Athletic alleged that Chelsea and Brighton have reached an agreement for Sanchez to move to Stamford Bridge in this window.

The Spaniard is now expected to undergo medicals at Chelsea before they sign him.

There are no details yet on how much the Blues would pay the Seagulls for their goalie.

The West London side are signing Sanchez to create competition for Kepa Arrizabalaga who is the Blues number one keeper after Edouard Mendy’s exit this summer.

Sanchez has been impressive for Brighton and has already made a name for himself in the Premier League, which means he would blend in well at Stamford Bridge in no time.
