Brighton give condition that can make Chelsea sign Caicedo

Chelsea remain in the race to sign Brighton star Moises Caicedo in the summer transfer window.

However, Brighton via their owner Tony Bloom have revealed the only condition that can make them sell Caicedo to Chelsea.

The Seagulls manager Roberto De Zerbi revealed that he had been assured that the 21-year-old midfielder will remain at the club unless Chelsea meet their valuation.

Recall that the Blues have seen their first and second bids of £60m and £70m rejected by the Seagulls who want £100m for the midfielder.

The Blues hope to make Chelsea bring down the price but De Zerbi has been reassured that the South American will be part of his squad again next season.

“I spoke with Tony Bloom [the club’s owner] and he told me if the condition doesn’t change, Moises stays with us,” De Zerbi said at a press conference on Friday.

Chelsea are keen on signing Caicedo following the departure of the likes of N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
