Boehly reportedly appeals to Chelsea star not to force permanent move
Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly, has reportedly appealed with winger Callum Hudson-Odoi not to force a permanent move away from the club, Evening Standard reports.
Hudson-Odoi has been linked with departure away from Stamford Bridge this summer due to the limited game time he gets under manager Thomas Tuchel.
As of last season, the 21-year-old star was able to make only 15 appearances in the EPL with a combination of injury troubles and his inability to break into Tuchel’s preferred XI contributing to his lack of minutes.
Hudson-Odoi, who became a part of Chelsea’s first team under Maurizio Sarri’s regime in the 2018-19 season, will only be permitted to leave the west London side on loan this summer.
The reports have linked him with Newcastle United, who are said to have entered the race for Hudson-Odoi who first joined Chelsea as a seven-year-old in 2007.
Aside from the Magpies, Southampton, Borussia Dortmund and Leicester City are among the other clubs that are hunting for Hudson-Odoi’s signature.
