Bayern not ready to let Pavard join Chelsea
German side Bayern Munich are not willing to let their defender and France international Benjamin Pavard join Chelsea this summer.
This comes as the Blues boss Thomas Tuchel has been looking for ways to bolster his defence in the ongoing summer window, having seen the likes of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen leave the club this summer.
So far they have signed Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella and are working on a deal to sign Wesley Fofana from Leicester City.
Bayern Munich star Pavard was named among the Blues’ targets and the reports claimed that he is open to joining them.
While Pavard was said to want to play at centre-back more this season, the German club primarily see him as a right-back and want him to continue in that role, which caused transfer chatter surrounding his future.
But according to German magazine kicker, Bayern are not planning to let Pavard leave the club this summer.
The reports revealed that coach Julian Nagelsmann values his versatility and Bayern Munich’s manager is not the only one.
