Azpilicueta says Chelsea players have to work hard
Chelsea captain and defender Cesar Azpilicueta while assessing the Blues’ recent 1-1 draw with Red Bull Salzburg in UCL spoke about the Blues’ form.
Azpilicueta said the players need to work hard so as to adapt quickly to their new manager Graham Potter’s style of game.
The match against Salzburg saw the Blues Raheem Sterling’s goal being matched with an equaliser in the second half of the tournament as both sides ended up sharing points.
Azpilicueta in a statement said, “After losing the first game [against Dinamo Zagreb] we were in a tough position and now it is a bit worse.”
“But it is still in our hands and now we work hard and with a change of manager of course, we try to adapt as quickly as possible to get ideas and to affect them on the pitch.”
“We play two games in a row against Milan and we have to be at our best level if we want to get the results and to go into the next stage.”
