Atletico Madrid to sign Chelsea striker as replacement for Felix
The recent report has claimed that Spanish club Atletico Madrid are considering a move for Chelsea striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as a possible replacement for Joao Felix and Matheus Cunha.
This was according to a report via AS, which revealed Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone, wants to sign a new striker and has identified Aubameyang as one of his targets.
Recall that Cunha joined Wolves on loan for the remainder of the season with an option to buy, while Felix is close to moving to Chelsea.
Aside from Aubameyang, Simeone is also considering RB Leipzig’s Andre Silva, Real Betis forward Borja Iglesias and Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram as replacements for Felix.
Aubameyang arrived at Chelsea from La Liga Saints Barcelona last summer.
The former Arsenal star has failed to impress at Stamford Bridge this season and it is uncertain that Madrid could be making plans to sign him.
