Arteta reacts as Arsenal sign Chelsea forward

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed his excitement as his side completed a move for Kai Havertz from Chelsea.

Recall that the North London side had on Wednesday confirmed the signing of Havertz from Chelsea on a long-term deal.

Speaking on the signing, Arteta in a statement via the Gunners’ official website said that the Germany star would add extra strength to Arsenal’s midfield and mixture to the team’s style of play.

Not stopping there, Arteta also tagged Havertz as an intelligent player.

Arteta said: “Kai [Havertz] is a player of top quality. He has great versatility and is an intelligent player.

“He will bring a huge amount of extra strength to our midfield and variety to our play.

“We welcome Kai and his family to Arsenal Football Club, and we are all excited to start working with him when we start pre-season training soon.”

Havertz joined the Gunners after Jorginho’s move in January.
