Arsenal linked with Antonio Conte as Arteta’s replacement?
With the Gunners likely under their way to relegation this season under coach Mikel Arteta, there have been calls to sack him and bring in a more experienced coach.
The reports have linked the Gunners to a number of coaches but notable among them is former Chelsea and Inter Milan coach, Antonio Conte.
Conte, a former Chelsea coach helped the Blues lift the EPL during his time at Stamford Bridge, he was also lifted the Italian Seria A title with Inter Milan, which was dominated by Juventus last season.
He, however, unexpectedly quitted his job at San Siro last season and has been without a coaching job since then.
While there are indications that Conte would love to return to the EPL, Italian agent Federico Pastorello who is close to the Italian has denied that any pre-agreement between Antonio Conte and Arsenal over the possible managerial role at the Emirates Stadium.
Recall that a report had claimed that the Gunners had entered a ‘preliminary agreement’ with Conte to become the new manager in October, with Arteta likely to be sacked if he fails to defeat Norwich City this Saturday in the EPL.
