Arsenal £103m summer signing tells supporters not to judge him after 3 weeks
Arsenal summer signing and England international Declan Rice has sent a message to the club’s supporters as he appealed to them not to judge him.
There are high expectations from Rice, especially after the high price Arsenal had to pay to get West Ham United to let him move to Emirate Stadium this summer.
Recall that the England international made headlines after he joined Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side from West Ham this summer for a record-breaking deal worth £105 million.
Amid the high expectations from fans, Rice urged them to give him time beyond three weeks.
The English midfielder told ESPN: “I don’t actually think about it. It is crazy to think. Yeah, OK, I’ve been sold for £100m,’ but I haven’t thought about it once. That’s a price tag that is now attached to me. In the end, judge me on the price tag then; don’t judge me after two or three weeks.”
