Another PR signing like Ronaldo – Man Utd warn against signing this top striker

Former Manchester United defender, Paul Parker, has sent a message to the Premier League club against signing former Real Madrid captain Karim Benzema from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.

Parker in his statement said it would be another “PR signing” as the Red Devils would be repeating their Cristiano Ronaldo “mistake”.

It is no longer news that Man United are among the top European clubs who have been linked with Benzema, whose future in Saudi Arabia is currently in doubt.

Parker told SpilXperten: “Karim Benzema would be yet another step backwards. He would just be another PR signing, and Manchester United definitely doesn’t need that.

“It would just be making the same mistake as before when they brought in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

“It would be yet another step backwards.”

Meanwhile, Man Utd are keen on making some new signings before the January transfer window closes.
