Alex Ferguson advises Man Utd on sacking Ten Hag
Legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has advised the Red Devils against sacking their current coach Erik ten Hag amid their woes this season.
Ferguson urged the club to stick with the Dutch manager who arrived at Old Trafford from Ajax.
Ten Hag has come under intense pressure as Man United have endured their worst start to a season in 61 years.
While there calls for Ten Hag’s sack in some quarters, a report via the UK Sun revealed that the Dutchman has the backing of Ferguson.
Ferguson has “unwavering support” for Ten Hag and believes it would be wrong to sack him at this point.
The Scot is said to believe the former Ajax manager has the “character and mentality required to turn the club around” and will tell the Red Devils’ investors to stick by him.
Meanwhile, Man Utd will return to action in the Champions League on Wednesday when they face Copenhagen.
