After Kante, another Chelsea player reaches agreement with Saudi club
Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is the latest player to be linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.
This comes as Mendy was said to have agreed to personal terms with Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli.
Al Ahli and Chelsea are said to be in talks for a fee that would seal Mendy’s proposed move to the Middle East.
This was made public by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Monday.
“Understand that Edouard Mendy has now agreed personal terms with Saudi side Al Ahli — contract will be valid until June 2026,” Romano tweeted.
“Negotiations at the final stages for Senegal goalkeeper to join Saudi league from Chelsea on a permanent deal. Here we go soon!”
While Mendy still has 12 months left on his current contract with Chelsea, they are not ready to offer the Senegalese international a new deal and would gladly let him leave this summer.
Meanwhile, the reports claim Chelsea are targeting a move for Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili.
