AC Milan keen on signing this Chelsea midfielder

Italian Serie A side AC Milan are said to be keen on signing Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek this summer.

They are said to be in concrete talks with the Blues and things are progressing ‘very well’, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Milan consider Loftus-Cheek a ‘priority target to rebuild the midfield’ which is a department that has struggled for the Rossoneri this season.

With Napoli winning the title this season, Milan are hoping to step up their game next season.

Romano added that Loftus-Cheek is also ‘keen on the move’ which suggests that the deal may be close to completion ahead of the summer.

Loftus-Cheek has been at Stamford Bridge since 2004 when he was eight years old, rising through the academy at Cobham before making his first team debut in 2014 in the Champions League against Sporting CP.

His deal with the Blues expires in 2024 and since he no longer appears to be a regular starter in the first team, he is expected to look for a new experience to relaunch his career at the age of 27.
